Do you get frustrated with all those pesky safety rules when you shoot your gun at the range or take it hunting? Do you dislike having to remember all those safety practices drilled into you when you took a training course?
Did you ever take a training course? Maybe this guy should have!! THIS is why safety is so important when you carry, handle or shoot a loaded gun.
View Mr. Trump’s position:
– Military bases and recruiting centers – to have a strong military, we need to allow them to defend themselves
– National right to carry – should be legal in all 50 states
– Background checks – we need to fix the system we have and make it work as intended. What we don’t need to do is expand a broken system.
– Gun and magazine bans – the government has no business dictating what types of firearms good, honest people are allowed to own
But last night you showed the world that America will once again be a country of, for, and by the PEOPLE.
You fought like a winner, you defied all odds, and history will forever remember the role you played in taking our country back.
Last night we learned that America is still a beacon of hope where the impossible is possible.
For far too long, we’ve heard Washington politicians give the excuse that “it can’t be done.”
Now it’s time to start uniting our country and binding the wounds of our divided nation. I promise to be a president for ALL Americans. I will work for you. I will fight for you. And I will win for you.
You will soon remember what it’s like to win as an American.
On November 3, 1924, President Calvin Coolidge took to the radio airwaves to remind Americans of a solemn duty:
“All the opportunity for self-government through the rule of the people depends upon one single factor. That is the ballot box. . . . The people of our country are sovereign. If they do not vote they abdicate that sovereignty, and they may be entirely sure that if they relinquish it other forces will seize it, and if they fail to govern themselves some other power will rise up to govern them. The choice is always before them, whether they will be slaves or whether they will be free. The only way to be free is to exercise actively and energetically the privileges, and discharge faithfully the duties which make freedom. It is not to be secured by passive resistance. It is the result of energy and action. . . .
Persons who have the right to vote are trustees for the benefit of their country and their countrymen. They have no right to say they do not care. They must care! They have no right to say that whatever the result of the election they can get along. They must remember that their country and their countrymen cannot get along, cannot remain sound, cannot preserve its institutions, cannot protect its citizens, cannot maintain its place in the world, unless those who have the right to vote do sustain and do guide the course of public affairs by the thoughtful exercise of that right on election day.”
If you haven’t voted yet, time is short. It’s too late to mail your ballot, but you can still drop it off at numerous locations. The only other alternative is going to one of several polling places on Election Day Tuesday.
Remember, if you don’t vote, you can’t complain about what happens afterwards!
Shooters are being asked to help one of the firearms industry’s leading organizations conduct a market research survey. Please take a moment to learn more about the organization and consider participating in the survey.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) is the trade association for America’s firearms industry. Importantly, the NSSF’s mission is to promote, protect, and preserve hunting and the shooting sports. In furtherance of this mission, the NSSF is conducting a study that is designed to help the firearms industry better understand consumers and improve products and services for gun owners. All survey responses are confidential.
The survey will ask about your reasons for owning firearms, hunting, and/or target shooting. Please do not participate in this survey if you do not feel comfortable providing this type of information. Upon completion of the survey, you will be given the opportunity to enter a contest for a chance to win a $500 Visa gift card. Leave the box blank and click Submit if you would prefer to remain anonymous.
I have done an orientation with about 70 % of the qualified rifle tube shooters at the club and in the tube so far. If you have not done it yet, then please get down to one of my planned orientations and let me go over with you. If you have schedule issues, then please contact me and I will set up to meet you. I still have not had time to get the online stuff written and set up.
We have had a lot of shooters through since we opened Saturday 7/23/2016. As of Tuesday, 8/30/2016, members had recorded 159 different firearms used in the tube. (hopefully that is all of them being recorded) I am working on getting the totals of the number of rounds and weights into a spread sheet.
We have had both the target holding sticks shot once and one shot hit on the upper bullet deflector and one shot hit the roof of the tube in front of the antenna for the camera network. ??? The west chronograph light frame has been shot once and pieces are stuck in the wall insulation just past the end of it.
The camera has really been a big hit with most shooters. We have really found it to be useful at the 25 yard line and in the room when we did a couple of tube qualifications. I installed an additional power plug and a Wi-Fi extender over the inside of the tube door and now we have really good signal all the way to the parking lot. It will show up as BullseyeCam112057_Ext and uses the same password as the base Wi-Fi:
(ccgcTUBE ) when you go to connect to the camera system.
The original two air filters completely blocked up in a month. We had expected the first set to block early due to all new dusty rubber and the powdered chemical being loose at the beginning. I changed them Monday, 8/22/2016, and the new ones are already black on the bottom We may eventually need to change to a four filter array if they keep blocking up so fast. We have the space, just a half day of work to remove the existing one and make the new one.
The rubber has not moved nearly as much as I feared and does not show a real need so far to be shoveled or pushed back up. There are the two side hot spots and one in the center (as quite a few people put a target there) that show up but are not big pits yet..
This is a unique rifle tube and backstop and vent system and we will be tweaking things for a while. Let me know if you notice anything that needs work or to be changed. If you don’t let us know about it, we can’t fix or improve it.
I put a new record book in for ONLY guests to sign in and to record any damage or maintenance that needs to be done.
We have a lot of little things still to do when we get time in the future. If you want to do any more just let me know when and what you can help do.
