Rifle Tube – Fan House Nearly Complete

We had a great four days this weekend on the fan house and tube.

The fire dept bought off on the fire suppression system.  We got the concrete pad poured for the FDC and the trench filled in.

We got the fan temporary installed and verified that it is easily removable and the duct connection works.  We will get the motor installed this week so we  can size and get the belt and be ready to install it.

We got all the carpenter work in the fan house done and all the walls insulated except the very last part that we will do after we dump the rubber in.  (This is just so we don’t damage it during the moving of 160 each 50# bags of rubber. )  We got west wall side of the duct work top insulated and installed.  We have all the other tops and foam cut and located.  They just need to be glued and screwed together and taped and then installed.

We should be finished with the fan house with one or two more days for a couple of people.  We can then get the air defector fitted in the box, the bullet deflector installed, and the lower vent pipes installed.  We can then put the final plywood and steel in and then dump in the rubber.

Warren has been working on the air cut off and has the cable and  conduit installed and in the finishing phase of that.

We are on the final leg.  IF we get enough help. We should be close to being ready to do some test shots by the end of the weekend.

I know it the 4th of July weekend, but I would really appreciate any and all help.

I will be here Tuesday, 6/28, as I have one helper confirmed, and then Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 08:00. Please let me know if and when you can come. If you are going to come any day after lunch, be sure and let me know so we don’t leave early.
